My friend and I sat together with our Bibles opened to Proverbs 31 and two words from verse 16 caught my attention like never before. She plants. I thought about those words again as I was planting some seeds today. The virtuous woman plants more than vineyards and vegetables. She plants seeds of blessings, life, and the Word of God. She plants hope in her home. She plants encouragement in the child that is having a bad day. She plants words of affirmation into her husband. She plants peace, wisdom, kindness, faith, and laughter. She plants love and patience. She plants prayers and miracles. She doesn’t become discouraged when she doesn’t see any fruit for she knows what she has planted and she believes she will see the harvest in due time. She works, she plays, she cries, she laughs, she prays, and she plants.
